About the facilitator:

Brecklyn Walters (they/she/he) is a social worker and end of life doula based in Pittsboro, NC. Currently they serve as a bereavement specialist at a pediatric hospice and palliative care program. Brecklyn is committed to creating supportive spaces for others to process and integrate grief after a death. S/he understands that grief is a nonlinear, natural aspect of being human and that healing is not a solo project. Loss is often accompanied by shifts in one’s identity, family dynamics and deep questions about meaning. When we name these losses in community and are heard by others, grief becomes a portal to deeper connection with self and others. Outside of grief work Brecklyn enjoys cooking, learning about plant medicine, and spending time in nature.
